Great article. I’m "in blockchain" but share a healthy scepticism around its utilisation in solving problems. On one hand, the attraction is bringing many resources - money, minds, people - to bear on issues and problems that need addressing. On the other, we are still at the stage in the hype cycle where there is a lot noise and very little substance - and it takes work to distinguish the two.

You’re right, the work of evangelising the use of technology on financial services is no longer necessary; however there is work to be done to keep us focused on the real problem of poverty.

Helping regulators keep up with the pace of change is also necessary. As an entrepreneur in the Philippines, I find the speed double edged - a lot of room for experimentation but that also means a lot of potential harm from actors which may not have the public interest at heart. Surely, there are better tools and frameworks for regulators to keep pace?
